I had a high tech bootleg as a kid. They were called Battle Strikers. The spinner was a magnetic rotating disc, and you’d pull a trigger to spin it up before slamming the tip onto the other spinner. The shock would cause them to drop their strikers.
Then you’d have a metallic thimble which you could use to control your striker and guide it right into the enemy. It was pretty fucking cool despite being rubber. But my brother came home one day with a single metallic Rock Leo and I couldn’t get a victory, which got me into beyblades to fight him.
