>>35543384The monster looks pretty cool! It seems to be a mostly aquatic animal so does that mean the fight will be at least partially underwater? I think I’m having flashbacks…
As for Palkyries, they’re mostly human so they don’t really have coats to shed. I guess they can always dress light and try to stay cool whenever possible. They’re very much used to steam baths so I think short term exposure won’t be an issue. As for personal details, I’m fine with any gender although I imagine Palkyrie being somewhat more androgynous so it might be hard for foreigners to tell them apart at a casual glance. As for name, I’m not very good at coming up with them but I think something like Tosklo might work
and I feel back holding my post back for hours just to look for a better-sounding name that still means something. For other traits I think it depends on what kinda role you want the Palkyrie to play in the story! Given their physique compared with humans and Deadbeats I imagine they would be most valuable as scout, ambusher, or (if necessary) lure/distractor, but Palkyries can fulfill different roles depending on the circumstance. I think being part of the fighting force (they prefer pole arm the most but they’re also fine with ranged weapons) is the easiest, although if they’ve been living in Moriji for a while they might also know enough about the local environment and in the sea to track and observe the targets. That reminds me: are Deadbeats good at swimming?
The Palkyrie might also be a bug tamer on top of that, in which case they’ll be able to sic their bug on animals to extract their juice a la kinsect. In the lore it’s designed for the chuubanite-enriched body fluid of /vnug/ wildlife though so I don’t know how effective it would be against other animals
