Do parasocial fans still exist for those corpo vtubers? Yes, but it's built entirely on a fake persona and character they are forced to more closely adhere to, providing a degree of separation from the vtuber and the actual person, which the people he's praising seem to miss the point of and want to remove that barrier. And honestly, when thinking about for even a second you'd realize in theory it's arguably worse for "keeping parasocial behavior in check" unless the only way you think that's possible is to lecture your chat like they're a bunch of misbehaving children for having the AUDACITY to like you.
