>>38748644I'm a zoomer that cares about being /fa/, Supreme has some good pieces and has a strong history in skateboarding/streetwear (especially in NYC where I'm from) but it's reputation has been trashed by the rise in hypebeasts and loud collaboration pieces in the past decade. Supreme is a great brand for streetwear and whatnot but if you're only wearing it to flex the brand (like going out in full Gucci) you'd be mocked for being a poser. Most hypebeast zoomers that buy into Supreme don't care about the brand history and only buy it to have their label plastered everywhere, or only buy the most basic articles without any actual artistic value behind them because they can't fucking dress. Pieces like the My Bloody Valentine collection are ignored because of this, even though the garments from the collection are so beautiful.
People who genuinely care about fashion know their shit about Supreme and respect its reputation/history. Those who buy Supreme pieces to flex are so easy to point out because they only every buy the most expensive and brand-plastered pieces. It's a shame that they're the face of the brand now because it's both profitable for the company but so easy to mock by everyone else since they go outside dressed like billboard.
