I know a lot of you guys struggle with what helps a male vtuber succeed outside of your content, at least as an indie, and honestly it isn't even 100% being entertaining, I'm friends with a few guys are are plenty entertaining and hardworking and still don't break 15 viewers.
Assuming you're a new talent and not an existing male streaming becoming a vtuber, you just need to be likeable, and I know most of you probably aren't but you'll have to at least pretend to be.
A lot of growth comes from networking, and no one wants to hang out with you if you're a weirdo asshole shitting on everyone you don't like the second you get a chance. I wasn't doing too great until I started socializing more on Twitter, Discords of streamers I like, etc. Once I did, I started getting more support and obviously collabs help a lot with sharing communities as well. I'm still only at about a 25 average, but it's much better than when I started 8 months ago, and a lot of that is just putting in your content reps and networking.
