Some people seem to think that this was about the parrot. A couple seconds before this interaction, Mumei asked about axolotls in chat, so MAYBE there was a mental connection to pets.
But, 30 minutes prior they already had a lengthy bit of hazing about parrots and pets.

I think it is evident, that Kronii thought Ame might be suddenly bringing up some lore thing they've discussed before.
As a sidenote, later Ame gifts Kronii a minecraft clock, and says that she can't give back the real thing. It's an Ame-like joke, but I point this out only because it shows how nonchalant Ame is about referencing this shared lore, knowing that they both understand it and it is possibly something they have talked a non-trivial amount.
