>>32908972It's actually a lot worse than you could imagine. Some of the biggest markets in SEA have specific mobile data packages that are literally sponsored by facebook or google. Like you have Call + Text + Data (general) in the US, a ton of SEA providers give you cheaper options like Call + Text + facebook or youtube livestreaming or even just fucking access to Garena Freefire or PUBG. SEA and South America are basically the only things keeping facebook livestreaming alive and they're doing it because facebook is literally subsidizing data costs to lock kids in with cheap phone plans.
