The big problem with explaining perms autism to westerners is that such a concept flat out doesn't exist to them. They don't understand how seriously nips take copyright, so Anykara is automatically the bad guy. The west sees what Selen does as her taking initiative, she's a go-getter, she's making her boss's work easier. It aligns with western individualist values of what a good employee should be, but not a nip's.
What Anykara SHOULD have done was laid out why perms are such a big deal in Japan. Why even a tiny slip up could be major legal issues and doing the necessary paperwork is absolutely necessary. Hololive was lax with perms early on and it almost completely killed them. No one from the west understands this, so they see that Selen is doing a good thing ni matter if it goes against "da rules". So Anykara REALLY has no fucking idea what their western demographic really is.
