As for maple I think maple syrup would still be a thing in /vnug/ but it might be more expensive and/or less sweet with a richer aroma. A related product would be birch sap which has similar properties (wiki describes it as “mineral-rich, caramel-like taste with a hint of spiciness that is not unlike molasses, balsamic condiment, or some types of onions”) but can also be fermented as a slightly alcoholic drink. Since /hag/’s warmer I think you should be able to produce more common maple syrup without issues! Meanwhile /vnug/ maple and birch syrup would be something like a special ingredient that sacrifices accessibility for a unique flavor
