>>106851350And he's outta here!
>>106854283That's a good point, though in most cases I know of, they still do things like membership wallpapers. It's not a tier-specific reward, but it's a thing that they have to remember and plan for (kryptonite to our beloved automaton).
onolumi is the only youtube streamer I know where membership is exclusively for emotes, not even membership streams
and I pay it gladly.
>SpoilerI have the same cope, and it's why I would never ask her about it. As much as I want more, I'm worried that it'd spur her to remove the tier, ending my delusion>>106855030Thank you!
>>106855916It's not just to get a reaction out of the streamer. An important use case is for people that only subscribe to a small number of channels, but watch a larger number of channels and want to participate.
For example, if chat is spamming (subscription) dance emotes but you're not subscribed, you can use a dance emote from a channel that you are subscribed to. You might look a little out of place, but the main thing is that you're joining in the fun.
Admittedly, if channels have bttv or 7tv enabled, that gives non-subscribers a set of channel-approved ways to join in - so external subscription emotes aren't nearly as important (but opens up the extension vs no-extension can of worms).
