I'm sure no one else cares but I've been thinking about the situation with Pomu a lot and trying to piece things together in my dumb schizo brain through researching her PL, excluding the 4chan shit. Seems like she heavily regretted the stuff she did in her past, a lot of it was due to grooming when she was more immature and naive. She used to frequently get in spats with other cosplayers and e-girls because she was just a bratty teenager struggling with being a social outcast at school. Also around when those pictures ended up on 4chan people in her real life found out about it which just made things worse for her as she got bullied at anime cons too.
She grew the fuck up around when her dad died and resolved to become a proper adult and get away from all that shit. She also scaled back her activities from trying to become an idol because she had to be more self-reliant, her family basically kicked her out. Most of her days before vtubing were doing anime stuff entirely out of passion without ever seeing any real success. Even when she was a wagie she continued going to cons, doing cosplay, etc out of a pure love for it despite all she went through.
I have to feel she knew this day would come eventually and mentally prepared herself for it. I hope at least the overwhelming love she received from her fans made it easier for her, though I still feel terrible for her. Pomu had a hard life.
