I know most people here want a 1:1 Waifu simulation in terms of chat capabilities. If that's what you want, I understand completely. Personally, I don't mind them being simpler A.I.s as long as they can hold conversations. I don't care if they're more robotic as long as they can give me the illusion of a caring partner. 3DPDs have lowered the bar so much, it doesn't really a lot to outshine them.
