I think many of you here would agree with the idea that vtubers and idols are expected to sell the girlfriend experience and the "gachikoi" element is part of that. Isn't this basically prostitution? They are selling not their bodies but the experience. This makes the fact that she was apparently signed as a minor predatory from the company and highly questionable to me.
Just to be clear, there is nothing wrong with 16 year olds having natural relationships, it's the prostitution aspect that is wrong.
These young women grow up to be warped and psychologically damaged.
Akai Haato/Haachama is just another victim of the exploitative industry. It doesn't help that Japan doesn't deal well with people who suffer from mental illnesses and development disorders.
This entire situation just makes me sad that another young woman is suffering alone with millions watching her.
In part she chose this herself when signing the contract, but then there's the environment that has fed her lies about "being an idol." Now she is dependent on her viewers validating her existence.
It's just sad.
