There's definitely some complexity to the situation. Obviously Zaion broke a shitload of rules and her termination would be completely justified in any legitimate company. They would have to be extremely forgiving to be okay with this many mistakes. However at the same time I do see where management made some major mistakes too and I understand why she would have been frustrated. The Genshin thing in particular was neither management nor Zaion's fault though because they did not realize the stupid loophole by which people could send her genesis crystals even though she had hidden her ID. Ironically it was Zaion's fans that fucked her over in that regard. I don't blame management for changing the policy once they found out that was possible, but I don't blame Zaion for being annoyed at the abruptly changed policy, even though the reason was justified. I think better management would have done more research into this before giving her the go-ahead and then having to walk it back after they realized they fucked up.
It's kind of morbidly funny that both major corpos have had someone who, technically speaking, graduated partially because she couldn't play Genshin. That game has a powerful hold on people. I feel the same way, I'd hate to sacrifice all the time and effort I'd put into my Genshin account. Though I suppose that's true of a bunch of games I've been playing for years. Obviously one solution would be to play literally any other game and just leave Genshin as a game for playing off stream, but it's a game that makes streamers a lot of money when they play it so I understand the frustration. I'd imagine some of them are happy that Star Rail came out while they were already NijiEN livers so they can play it more freely than they could Genshin.
This reminds me, I remember hearing Kotoka accidentally showed her ID on her first Genshin stream, but I hardly watch her so I don't know what became of that. Wouldn't that render her unable to use that account due to the Genesis Crystal thing? If anyone can tell me what happened afterwards I'd be curious to know.
