Hello ruffians!
Thanks to your encouragement I started with my Nihongo learning journey!
Day 105: Today I've done my anki and immersion reps. For anki I've learned 5 new cards. For immersion I've watched one episode of an anime. I was contemplating for some time how should I go about watching anime: on one hand, it is really great opportunity for immersion.
Yeah, I'm aware that people don't actually speak like that in real life, but still. But on the other if I try to watch anime I like raw, or with Japanese subtitles, right now I wouldn't understand much. In order to understand it I would need to spend way too much time looking up all the stuff I don't know.
Then I remembered reading about the idea of watching every episode two times (here
https://learnjapanese.moe/routine/): first time with English subtitles and the second time raw, without subtitles. It's a bit time consuming, but it will suit all my needs: to fully understand the show I'm watching so I can enjoy completely and to immerse when I watch it raw the second time (plus after the first watch I know what should be the meaning of what is said so I can kinda connect the meanings with the raw Japanese I'm listening to).
FUWAMOCO love!
