Morgan's involvement is still unsure, for example, which is keeping the tension up for her. AI Somnium probably had the best experience with that stuff. She and the viewer know something was going on, had a bunch of theories but was never really sure,and then when it was revealed it was a really satisfying "oh shit" moment as everything fell into place, moreso with the first game.
