I'm 24 making slightly above minimum wage adjuncting at my alma mater state school while most people I knew from college have been in med school for some time, some at Harvard. Applied for med school last year, so far I'm one of the 4 from 48 total applicants endorsed by my college that have not received a single acceptance yet, and have to wait until May to find out whether that changes.
Shit sucks really bad. Reminds me when I was in science olympiad in high school and I was the only non-graduating team member to not earn a single medal in any of my events, so I was the only one who was cut. Tried out again my senior year and didn't get in. I'm unironically becoming pic related and that terrifies me.
