>>22867444>You could limit the bandwidth the router will allow it to useYou could probably* limit the bandwidth the router will allow it to use with QoS or something, but mine in particular doesn't expose any settings like that, and at that point, you're better off running "full fat" OpenVPN on a computer.
Anyways, that's neither here nor there, way easier to just get 1.1.1.1 running if all you're trying to do is bypass a DNS block. Some carriers block quad 1, it's why I gave you that list of other ones to try on Android. Also I'm pretty sure you can't use "1.1.1.1" in the DNS over TLS menu, it has to be the "host name" form of it. Try them in order, with "dns.google" being your last resort because fuck Google having literally every host you look up on a nice list
provided you aren't using Chrome on your phone - https://github.com/bromite/bromite also supports DNS over HTTPS https://github.com/bromite/bromite/wiki/DNS-over-HTTPS do note that if you set it up in Bromite, that it uses a different type of host address, and that a system-wide setting would still over-ride it. Can do other nifty things like AV1 playback.
