If you increase the size of one dimension of a 3 dimensional object, the volume increases. And the volume increasing means the weight of the object increases. A bigger, taller man is a heavier man.

Now, do organised sports such Boxing, MMA, wrestling or even none combat sports like Rowing seperate contestants based off their weight? Yes. They have weight classes so taller and thus, heavier athletes don't compete with shorter and thus, lighter athletes as the lighter athletes are at a massive disadvantage in a fight.
Why is that? That's because the force of a physical attack is based off how heavy the attackers's body is and how fast it moves compared to the victim's body.
