Is 2232 currently in the process of using vtubing as a vehicle to develop a working relationship with Play-Asia? Because that would appear to be the smart long term play when it comes to western partnerships.
Play-Asia has staying power, brand recognition, a decent reputation (last I heard, which is admittedly a while ago), and an infrastructure for importing overseas goods and services to western consumers. As a company that presumably plans to make money in the future from EN merchandising and events, it seems like on the surface Play-Asia would be a suitable target for some sort of partnership involving exclusive this or that. Especially since it's a private company, and is less exposed to any sort of trouble from short-sighted public investors.
Personally, I'd hate to see Holomax Prison get to them first. Let them have Crunchyroll and funimation. The anime community is increasingly a wash anyway.
