(Aqua... Ayame...) with people around them, and yet at the same time, be perfectly fine while streaming for hundreds or even thousands of people.
Of course, you need to get used to it first... when you get started, everything is stressful and you often mess up
(see Korone's debut, it was a complete and absolute disaster, to the point where the other girls in Gamers had to join her mid-stream to help).
But the thing is that, ultimately, she's alone in her room, talking on a microphone, so it doesn't feel "real", there's no audience or eyes directly on her or her IRL face, (you know, being a vtuber), there's no one directly replying or talking to her except chat, which you can ignore if needed, and if there's an issue, she can just say that she needs to do something / bathroom and mute the mic for a few minutes to calm down.
I remember a few streamers talking about that as well, both western and eastern, and how they're fine while streaming even though they are ridiculously shy too.
But overall, Korone is doing muuuuch better now, she's more comfortable with the other girls in Hololive and she's even going out of her way to collab, talk and be friends with them, so that's good.
