The reason holoEN and NijiEN have reclined is because there's too much competition from smaller corpos taking chunks out of their viewerbase, but those small corpos will never ever be as successful (if they don't blow themselves up trying) because the vtuber audience in the West is shrinking. Eventually it will all stagnate into a sort of pseudo-heat death where no one's really inclining or reclining anymore. Except maybe holoEN because the holo brand is still really valuable and inclining in Japan, and Cover actually shares the spoils between all their branches (for the most part) so there's basically no way for them to fail short of some unforeseen catastrophe.
