XQC is a lone streamer and not part of a company. They know his insane viewership is a boon for any game he plays, so he basically untouchable. But this basically goes for any indie streamer, the devs and publishers won't give a shit if you're not a company they can sue. He also streams on Twitch where copyright strikes aren't used as often as YouTube. Not to mention Cover basically got hundreds DMCA notices all at once throughout their chuuba's channels and it made them shit their pants.
