Part of relating to someone is seeing them as a normal person like yourself, and relating to their struggles and shortcomings. Fauna doesn't drop that barrier to preserve the, "I'm your cute anime onee-san" vibe, so she creates a certain level of distance because of that. But that distance is a result of her constant positivity and desire to create a consistent, enjoyable environment during her streams, so it can actually be appealing depending on what you're looking for.
I enjoy Fauna quite a lot, but like yourself she's not my absolute favorite that I love above all else. Personally, I adore Mumei because she's flawed and open about her feelings even when they are negative but at the same time she tries her best and draws a lot of strength from her Hoomans. Ame has her own issues, but they make her more relatable in the same way.
