>>72937564>I despite the culture that popped around it, the endless need for dramayeah, I blame Luxiem for not tardwrangling their fans even 3 years later. They still harass anyone who criticizes Niji, and still jump to stir up drama over the most minor petty bullshit.
>hating Niji becoming a fucking businessI mostly try to ignore those people because they follow any popular subculture.
>the grifters that joined the companybesides Kyo I have no idea who else you could be talking about, what grifters?
>I also hate how seemingly everyone that graduates act like they where tortured to death, oh sure, all the money and attention it brought them, that was fucking great apparently, but they left, OH MAN IT SUCKED SO BAD IN THERE I WANTED TO DIE, just seems a bit hypocritical. That seems like quite an oversimplification. Matara said she absolutely adored her coworkers and still loves all of them dearly. The reason she left is because the Niji community was being toxic to her own fanbase, and she felt like people were being harassed just for being fans of her. Even the shitty management wasn't bad enough for her to leave, it was mostly the external community. Same for Pomu, she still loves everyone she worked with and mostly hated the management. Somewhat same for Yugo since he's still friends with quite a few people. It's not hypocritical to criticize your former workplace while also acknowledging that there were good things about it too.
Personally my biggest gripe about how NijiEN conducts itself is the "family" culture they developed as a group where it's them vs the entire vtuber sphere. Like they isolate themselves and don't act accountable to fans or anyone outside the discord. It's not exactly a clique but you can definitely feel it, livers constantly referencing shit that went down in discord, talking about posting vacation photos in discord, having meetups both offline and offcollabs, etc. They seem to treat their job too much like a family, and those businesses are often the worst and most exploitative and drama-filled behind the scenes.
