>>69689522Anon... imagine, if you will, a game of mahjong. While playing out a hand of mahjong, you have two short-term goals:
>1: Win the hand>2: Avoid dealing in to others' hands. The new player will attempt one or the other, but the more savvy player will attempt to do both at once. The extent to which you focus on one at the expense of the other depends on the game state, which is in flux. For example, it is folly to go full defense while no one has called riichi and it is 2 tiles into the round.
Now, imagine you're Pippa. Among your goals, we shall consider the following two:
>1. Put out streams which do numbers>2. Keep the content freshNaturally, Pippa wants to do both (I would imagine). The first of these criteria is satisfied through react streams, and perhaps would also be satisfied through reacting to [major drama event], like how Asmongold gained huge numbers reacting to the Johnny Depp trial
heh. However, this invalidates the second criterion. Streaming different video games is one way to satisfy the second, but most likely will not achieve the same NOOOMBERS as the first. But wait! What if it were trendy to stream a video game, so that both criteria could be satisfied!? And so, we have the situation where the value proposition of streaming Elden Ring is very attractive! It is no longer "bad stream content"; it will do numbers AND it will be a break from react streams! Thus we have the situation where it is now more worth it than ever for Pippa to stream Elden Ring, even if it was something in the back pocket until the DLC announcement.
TL;DR: Stream idea which Pippa perceived as bad might actually do numbers so Pippa now thinks stream idea might in fact be cool
