“The Experience of Princess Ji Rearing Chickens”
A princess named Ji felt lonely, so she collected some chickens as poultry, which comes from the spiky bushes. As the wild chicks squeak because of hunger, so Ji took the grains from a bamboo basket to feed the chicks. After the chicks were full, they jumped up to Ji’s book casket. As Ji dislike the dirtiness, she swiftly chased the chicks away. Scared, the chicks jump onto the table. This make Ji even more frustrated, and she used the bamboo basket as a tool to chase the chickens away. The speed of the basket was fast, but it hit Ji’s terracotta statues instead. The statues hit the ground and shatter to pieces. Infuriated, Ji glared at the chicks, squeaking under the table, took off her clogs and use them to kill the chickens. Reflecting on her experience on breeding chickens, Ji got emotional and wrote “The Experience of Princess Ji Rearing Chickens”
