It's usually the latter issue where Valks worry too much about landing some place safe and defensible.
I don't doubt pro player game knowledge, just a general observation on the wave of JP streamers and vtubers who are swapping to Valk recently. One of my girls has seemingly given up on ranking up with Valk after every match had at least 1 missile misfire/selfdestruct and bad flies.
