art is about expression, not how good you can make something look. hanabi's art is incredibly popular even though it's not technically great because it has style and personality, and even he's been menhera over this shit
also probably worth noting that you mostly see this type of complaining in anime art spaces so it makes sense that this type of art is thought of purely as product, like anime itself.
