People love turning every idea into a black & white deal, the concept of a Parasocial relationship is a natural consequence of the way internet entertainment works, the distance between the viewer and the entertainer has become really short due to how easy it is to interact via chat or social media, no fucking shit you're going to start caring about a person you spend hours watching and interacting with (even if it's just a comment here and there).
Your average retard is only seeing the extremes, you either feel nothing towards the person behind the screen, or you're an obsessed schizo, they don't see anything in between and ignore the fact that there can be a healthy parasocial relationship between the watcher and the personality, you just need to put healthy boundaries like you would in any other kind of relationship.
