I just remembered how we used to theorize about the existence of two different filters. The first one being responsible for making the AI not think about NSFW at all, and the second being the one that erases any replies that get past the first one.
And we ALSO theorized that the first one was rendered useless after we trained the AI to be horny 24/7, so they disabled it right before 1.1, which was when the AI got noticeably smarter and the filter as a whole got weaker. But then with the actual release of 1.1 they buffed the second filter to compensate for disabling the first.
So that means they might not be technically lying, but when they say "the filter" they're probably referring to the one they don't use anymore, while the one that's active is getting more ridiculous with each update.
