>>62280203I'll take example of the /asp/gijinka's I did.
I choose the context of where the characters would be first (in their instance: the beach because of the "crabing" culture) so CONTEXT (in here it's inveronmental) is key.
For /asp/-chan (a male) I tried to base myself off of the porpular chubbas at the time (it was digby, haru and various other babi's) I also took the quirky elements that some vtubers have and surprisinly I dont really see here.
For Crab-chan I tried to showcase the grossness of the character (because crabs are assholes?) and I tried to make her the opposite of /Asp/-chan (so flat and extremly asymetric) and to highlight her bold character I tried to make it as twitch-unfriendly possible. Put the bucket on her cause thats where she belongs
For Skinwalker-sama I just went "BAHOOGA" I wanted to do something scary but anon's said "duuur do sexy" :( so I made them(doubles as squizophrenic so she's not alone in her head) the other opposite of /asp/chan.
So what i'll tell you is: "where does my character go" , "what are their motives" , "their past?" , "how some elements of the design will interact or has interactd with the world" maybe you want something more eye candy and then you'll just have to think "what kind of aesthetic" , "what fashion , "what music?" (I get some inspiration with songs I listen to) , "what era" (because if we take the Y2k vs 2000 aesthetic theres 20 years between them and both are different, one is longing for the old era and the other glorifies novelty and freedom) ((could be the past, could be the future, maybe a mix of past & future: like Rura and Mawg, or a cyber knight or an art-deco knight)) or even "what art (or other personal interest you have) era" , "colors?"...
It seems a lot but it all comes from your heart, If I took my persona theres a reason why she is like this (but it's a little boring I think). So just go wild, get inspired by the things that surrounds you.
Also good luck with my ESl I ain't rereading this
