I think it'd be harder for neuro to take-off without the niche appeal that her current model caters to. There'd be fewer hardcore fans; less devotion, slower growth. But there'd be a much higher ceiling on long-term mainstream popularity.
I foresee future models of Neruo "growing up" to appeal to a more mainstream audience. But he'll never be able to hide the past, or pretend that it didn't happen.
