if corpos truly weren't giving something way better than the average indie experience, they wouldn't have been competitively fit and wouldn't have dominated the scene like they have.
the other bitter pill is that indies on twitch are forming psuedo-corpo-feel clique circles anyway. while these associations are not mandated or hand-picked by management they can become very strong. lots of the top indies on twitch are in essence one of several pods/tribes - vedalverse, vshojo orbiters, doki/mint group, bao ethot group, filian friends. a rando not immediately pulled into one of these orbits winds up like quinn. even in the indie form there are still in-crowds like anywhere else, they just don't have some corporate overlords to blame for everything.
