April 22, An ESF expeditionary force led by Ookami Mio engages Calliope Mori's fleets at the "Loam" stretch of the kuiper belt. Owing to a new mobile weapons platform deployed by Mori's fleet, she lands a decisive victory, paving the way to Earth. May 5, in preparation for landing operations, Hoshimachi Suisei of the Deadbeats orchestrates a meteor barrage which is 87% intercepted by the AZKI orbital defense grid. Space debris touch down in Brussels, Cairo, Amsterdam, Naples, among several locations. Millions die instantly however, very little of Earth's military industrial complex was affected. May 9, Tokino Sora takes off from Japan to personally command the ESF fleets in space however her shuttle is intercepted by a HALO attack carried out by Melfissa Anya's experimental weapons cruiser. Command passes to Vice Admiral Shirikami Fubuki. May 14, Civil war breaks out on the Luna 2 moonbase but rebel forces are quickly subdued by Hoshinova Moona. Luna 2 commits to selling arms and tech to the ESF but otherwise remains neutral. May 26, A large scale two-pronged landing operation of Earth is launched. An amphibious army led by Gawr Gura in Panama and a desert equiped army led by Takanashi Kiara in India, each also sporting new mobile weapons. General Akai "Desert Haachama" Haato calls for rally points in Algeria and Texas to meet the threats, while Hakoz Baelz's third fleet departs Australia to outflank and reinforce. Beyond these reports, the fate of Earth and space is unknown. Any slight shift may swing the balance.
