Way too many guys are just backlog andys with very little added to their gameplay. Nobody really wants to see a guy play Skyrim episode 30 anymore, it's just too overdone.
Try and aim for something you are good at. For example if you are really good at Souls-like games then go for it, do speedruns/lore runs/challenge runs instead of just a normal boring playthrough.
Not a Vtuber but i watch Outer Heaven and they massively focus on the Metal Gear series doing all of the above and they really cornered that market. If (You) can do something similar for a genre or series you love then it won't really matter if you are a Vtuber, people will watch you because you have a niche.
If you just want to play Variety as a brand new male vtuber, it's going to be a very tough road ahead.
