The biggest reason was the Answer, that Shirou vs Archer fight was supposed to be very philosophical, very wordy, sword against sword as they debated their ways of life with their sword hits. The... flipping around and all that felt really dumb in comparison. And little bits everywhere where there's direction towards "shonen cool" over psychological "seinen cool"
Almost a decade since I first saw it, you know it's really not the worst thing ever. You come to expect these things with visual novel adaptions. HF is a little better despite being shorter, in my opinion, because the dark psychological aspect is emphasized. It's all about how much mercy you're willing to give an adaption.
What did you think of it though? I'm curious if you've got the same thoughts as Pekora if you're coming at the series with a similar angle.
