Winter does feel more romantic than other seasons. Suddenly a bunch of memories from last year came flooding back. The sheer wonderment and joy when she reacted to the first snow. How worried we all were when she had to cancel her years' end plans, then into relief when she bounced right back the next day. Decorating the tree together. Being there for her when her emotions spilled over. The fun New Years' party, with the relay and the piano karaoke. Staying up all night to cheer her on through the last levels of Ghost Babe. Even when things got overwhelming later on, I just felt happy being there for her. Like assuaging her nerves before surgery, and having fun making chocolates. Just Mori. It was an eventful time. Maybe some losers got shaken up or shaken off, but not me. I adore her.
