Shika means deer, Noko is the name of the deer girl, nokonoko means unconcerned, and koshitantan means vigilantly watching for an opportunity. But the anime is just called "My Deer Friend Nokotan" in English.
Notably, the manga was written and illustrated by Kanata's mama, Oshio-sensei.
