Not even accounting for the fact that the youth are heavily adopting non-sequitur shorts content and attention spans are crashing through the floor. Story arcs make content compelling but just as many people want something on that they don't need to think about. I don't know why you're so adamant that story arcs are the ultimate form of media that EVERYONE needs to follow.
