Is there any reason people are so flagrantly opposed to any sort of lore at all? Like I get it, reductionism is in vogue and anything above a paragraph is considered "yapping" but worldbuilding is always nice to have. Even if the talents barely care about their backstories it's just fun in the same way books in TES games are. Being mad about what amounts to flavor text is kind of irrational, like why does it offend you so much that some "autist" cares about Hololive's universe beyond memes and superficial observations?
It reminds me of when people got legitimately angry if you insisted you watched vtubers for the gameplay, and not just zatsudans. It's like certain fans cannot fathom that you enjoy things about this hobby besides waifubaiting.
