>>2563008>>2640516This is a tough issue, because there are a lot of people with problems functioning in society who would strongly benefit from having the opportunity to live in a supportive environment with access to either round-the-clock or outpatient care- but also these places operate on the bottom dollar; they hire cheap foreign nurses to look after the patients and they tend to not really care about the resident's health/happiness/welfare, they zonk people out with sleepies rather than aiming for whatever level of rehabilitation or social function is possible, and the conditions in general (quality of the food, cleanliness, room size) tend to be rather squalid.
