The palette for Gen 2 is all kinds of strange.
You have two members with a very light, pastel palette overall, that reasonably go well together. You have a character who is entirely earthtones, who doesn't mesh GREAT with the pastels but they don't clash either.
And then you get a character with a very standard, traditional, navy/black/white palette that doesn't really mesh with any of those three, but would look right at home in a traditional line-up.
And THEN you get Mika Pikazo's extreme vibrant palette, which normally I would love but within this generation feels like it sticks out like a sore thumb.
I feel like there was very little coordination here to put together a functional, well-designed palette in the way that Gen 1 clearly had from the start. It causes them all to look disjointed, despite what I think are the strengths of a number of their designs individually.
