Often times people pick saints because they had similar life experiences or are from the same country or they are the patrons of something they needed help with. I didnt know anything about saints or even what they are or do, not that long ago. So dont feel bad if you dont know any. But I do recommend you start a great devotion to at least one and ask for their intercession.

I want to recommend two Saints to you. I have a great devotion to both of these wonderful women and I know you would enjoy them greatly. I want to introduce you St Joan of Arc and to St Therese of Lisieux. I dont want to spoil who they are, and they are most wonderful, so I want you to look them up. Perhaps for one of the strangest reasons in the history of the world to introduce these Saints to you, is that you are a cosplayer and Saint Therese famously dressed up as Saint Joan of Arc and was photographed in the costume. Is that technically cosplay? I highly recommend you look this photo set up. I found two. I know you will love them as I do, and when you read about their lives it might even bring tears to your eyes.
