Yes, I had to divide it into two parts. Imagine.
For starters, her design. Her design is what initially got me into her.
I've always been into kemonomimi - catgirls, foxgirls, wolfgirls, rabbitgirls, you name it.
And while, granted, Hololove has a ton of kemonomimi girls, there was something a bit more special about Fubuki. Her design was as if specifically made to appeal to me. It had a lot of the little things in a design that I absolutely adore. White hair? Check. Animal ears? Check. Hood? Check. Pale skin but not TOO pale? Check. Beautiful eyes that seem to just fit perfectly? Check. An outfit that by all means shouldn't make sense, yet looks as if it just FITS with her? Check. A nice color scheme? Check.
There's just no way to properly explain why I love Fubuki's design as much as I do, but it’s just one of the reasons why I love her so much.
And don't get me started on her different outfits. Each and every single one is amazing and it just seems to fit her and complete her, not matter what. There is simply not a single bad outfit that she can wear.
The next thing is her voice. I absolutely LOVE her voice. It's the perfect combination of cute, energetic, hype, calm and sometimes smug, all at the same time. One could argue that her voice range is not that wide or good, or that the voice she usually has is annoying, but I couldn't disagree more.
Sure, at the end of the day, it's all up to preference and opinions. And my opinion is that her voice fits her PERFECTLY. There's not a single bad thing about it. It's got all of the listeners' needs covered.
You’re in a somber mood? She can cheer you up. You're happy? She'll laugh with you. You're hyped about something? She'll get excited about it with you.
Her voice is just overall extremely pleasant to listen to. Is it ASMR-tier? I guess it depends. But for me, there's not a doubt in my mind - hearing Fubuki talk about whatever is better than any sort of ASMR.
As important as personality is, in our case there's no way to get to know it until you go past the first two things. This is why I'm mentioning her personality after the two previous points.
So, her personality. Frankly, I absolutely love it. (Yes, I'll use this a lot. I'm an ESL and my vocabulary is somewhat limited.) Admittedly, there's not much I can say here, since I've never been good at describing personalities, thus what I say next may sound like complete BS, but it’s my honest opinion and feelings.
I love how quirky and excited she can be. I love how she starts nerding out and babbling about things she loves. Be it anime, games, Marvel superheroes, burgers (especially burgers), glasses, Switch reveals, you name it. I absolutely adore seeing and hearing her reacting to things that she loves.
It goes without saying that the way she acts during collabs is also something I love. The way she's able to start conversations or steer them in a direction that eases others around her and get them talking is absolutely incredible. A lot of people say that Fubuki's strength lies in her collabs. I agree, though I don't think it's her only strength, not by a long shot.
She's just extremely friendly and pleasant to talk and interact with, and judging by what the other members are saying, that seems to be just the tip of the iceberg.
Which is what leads me to the next point.
This one might be a bit controversial, but this is 4chan, so fuck it.
I love Fubuki’s loyalty and drive to stand with and behind her friends.
No matter what, I simply can't get Coco and the Taiwan situation out of my head. Back when China threw a hissy fit and Cover almost bent the knee. Back when Fubuki had reached 1M subscribers/followers on bilibili, thus making her the biggest VTuber on there. Even if it mattered to her, she gave up on it. She gave up on the money and revenue just so that she could make it clear that no matter what, she stands with and behind her friends (in that particular case, Coco). She took a huge blow by losing at least 50% of her revenue, yet she didn't seem to even be phased by it. She just kept going forward. She just kept supporting her friends and Hololive - the two things she seems to hold dearest to her.
For this alone, I don't just love her - I also respect her. She made a stand, made her position clear and still does it to this day. If there was ever any doubt in my mind that Fubuki was just pretending to care about others as much as she says she does, it disappeared right then and there.
I can't help but admire her devotion and selflessness. I can't help but love and respect her all the more for it.
Frankly, she deserves the respect, and if you disagree - that's your own problem.
