He got it, didn't test it out, then decided a few months later to finally start using it, only to realize it was broken and unusable. He then spent the next months trying to figure out if he should try and get it fixed, or just get a new one. As of now, there's been no updates since then. My husband can be such a dummy sometimes...
I forgive him, though, because he mentioned the mic cost him money that went into the thousands, and that getting another one like it would have him shill out an equal amount. When talking about it he was obviously depressed at the fact that it wasn't working and that he couldn't do what he had planned with it. He really is interested in ASMR content and did really wanna do it, he even got stuff like bubblegum to do triggers with, and to hear him that sad about it not working out like he hoped made me wanna give him a big hug... I don't care what he does with ASMR, but I'll be there to listen every time if he ever is able to do it, because I know he worked hard over it.
