Talk of Doom and snakes made me want to check back on Freedoom because I remembered it having fair few snake-like enemies. Been a long time since I last checked in and some words I may have used to describe the project could've been "legally distinct, proof of concept, minimum viable product" and I always appreciated the thought of the project more than actually playing the maps or using it as an iwad.
But now, I'm having a blast with the maps, it's a really cool Doom game in it's own right and the only thing that it's not is iconic.
