>>11914506>anon...that's carbs, fat and some proteinAll of those are necessary nutrients, and all three are in pretty much every meal you eat.
>>11917172>Fish fat isn't cholesterol, it's Omega-3 (brain food)You aren't wrong, but you also aren't right, because it is nowhere near that straightforward.
You are correct that n-3 PUFAs (sometimes called Omega-3) are important. It is true that obtaining them directly in your diet is important, because humans cannot produce the precursors to n-3 and n-6 PUFAs ourselves. However, "fish fat" is not exclusively one thing. No animal has only one type of fat, and the ratios vary wildly depending on the species and the diet of the creature itself.
From a quick search, I found one attempt to study ratio of fats in fish. They found that the percentage of n‐3 PUFAs in fish fat can range from 10% to 40%, depending on the species and on the region the fish came from. See section 3 in
https://www.intechopen.com/chapters/54572Funny enough, the fact that ratios of types of fat can vary greatly, is the kernel of truth that led to the marketing meme around "grass fed beef" and stuff like that.
Also direct consumption of dietary cholesterol is not the primary influence on blood cholesterol. This has been known for a long time.
