>>10519187There are a multitude of plays and options available with Caustic which causes a lot of salt. If your attentive, Caustic can basically play recon and attack.
Recon:
1. Put barrels in places of interest while your team moves, at least 2 in the vicinity or at least keep your Q on cooldown 1, 2 available.
2. Check your minimap and your crosshair, if your crosshair has the hit animation, you're probably getting flanked. Your minimp will also show if barrels are being shot out.
3. Ping your team when this happens, you have an immediate advantage to ambush the team depending on how many barrels are around.
Attacking/breaching/defending
1. Besides locking a house down you can just let the enemy breach, move out of the house and then seal them inside with barrels
2. On full pushes/apes just use the ult in short ranges even if you only hit 1
3. Try to be either second or last when breaching or aping, catching enemies with the ult during reloading or healing is just extra damage on the table.
4. You almost always autowin on final circle with ult especially if you're indoors. You can check TSM's current runs for how that works and how to counter it without being a Caustic.
The only issue here is that Caustic is on barrel duty ASAP even during active firefights sometimes the best option is to toss gas traps instead of peeking or tossing one out as you reach cover instead of immediately healing or reloading.
