To me, it 100% reads as con politics limited Phase and their talents (i'm not even talking meet and greets. 27 of those is way too much I get it. but they lost 2 main stage deals this year, 2 additional panels, a concert + 12 talents aren't booked).
What Phase did instead of being bitches about it, is they decided to flex harder by fitting the bill for the entire vendor hall. While Phase was doing that, Idol was busy pleading their case with the drama lawyer to prove "see! we're not a black company look at our contracts!" There are levels to the game Sakana is playing.
